HISTORICAL REVIEW ON THE CREATION OF THE INSTITUTE

 It was founded on April 18, 1958, by agreement No. 664.- issued by the Executive Power.

In 1951 a society of intellectuals of La Paz was born with the name of Excelsior whose essential and primary purpose was to achieve, by all possible means, the opening of a secondary education institute since almost half a century had passed since the last time the citizens of La Paz knew one of that category in the city. This society was chaired by Professor Angel María Suazo, accompanied by other countrymen recognized for their great value, the effort was not in vain as it soon gathered 74 students. 

Suazo Castillo immediately began the task, the beautiful task of teaching. 

The Elena de Carías Park benches were part of the first classroom; Then other places followed such as the Green Room of Don Fernando Izaguirre Ávila and some pieces of the house of Professor Ángel María Suazo. It is interesting to note what Don Adán did: he did not seek profit or government positions, he wanted above all to serve and give himself fully to his students and their education. One day of so many he introduced the then deputy of La Paz, Dr. Roberto Suazo Córdova, brother-in-law from his wife, a request made to the Government of the Republic for the foundation and authorization of the new school to be achieved.
